This cage selectively prohibits larger, unwanted birds like starlings and grackles from accessing your Bird Table or On-the-Ground Feeder. Your favorite smaller birds will easily fit through the mesh cage, with 1-1/2" openings. The rugged plastic-coated wire mesh cage works best over our Bird Table and On-the-Ground Feeder, but will fit over most standard platform feeders. Some assembly required. 19-1/2"W x 6"H x 16-1/2"D.

Platform cage

I've used covers like this for all of my platform feeders. I wouldn't fill the platform feeder without one! It keeps the grackles, especially, out of the feeder--they just perch on the side--and the smaller birds are not usually intimidated by the bigger birds. The cage is well worth the money!
