The problem developed over time as the plastic stopper that covers the filler hole weathered. Eventually it snapped as I tried to pull it out to fill the feeder. At that point I figured it had lived its life and out it went. However, because I have so many sparrows and pigeons lately, I bought another one to discourage them. Hopefully, it is of better quality. If the same thing happens this time, I will notify the company and see what they'll do for me. - Monday, July 28, 2008No problems with globe Reviewed By: Deirdre Brown (Croton Falls, NY) The globe feeder is really good for chickadees and tufted titmice if you fill it with safflower, which squirrels and racoons don't consider as food. It's really great if you hang it under a plastic dome. Then you can leave the filling hole open, just unhook, funnel the seed in and rehang. No fussing around and no waste. - Friday, March 23, 2007Super Ball Reviewed By: M. Steber (Marriottsville, Maryland) If you have any type of squirrel problem, this feeder is not for you. It is extremely susceptible to squirrels. Mine only lasted a few days, before the squirrels ate away the plastic around the holes. Read More Reviews |
