Mason Bee Nest
Mason Bee Nest

  (3 customer reviews)

Believe it or not, there's a kind of bee that is up to 90% more efficient at pollinating plants than honeybees! Plus, it doesn't sting. It's a common species called the mason bee, and you can encourage its presence in your garden by offering a place for the bees to rest.

About 2/3 the size of a honeybee, mason bees nest in holes created by woodpeckers and beetles, so this similarly designed nesting habitat will invite these hard-working pollinators to nest and help pollinate your garden. Made of durable, decorative cedar, it is easy to hang. No assembly required; nest includes 10 nesting tubes and 2 replacement tube. 6 1/4"H x 8"W x 7"D

Comes with complete, easy-to-read instructions.

Pleased with Bees

Our Mason bee box has been a big success for two years. I did add a piece of vinyl tile on top, to protect the wood from water/snow damage. But this was a pre-emptive strike, not a problem with the purchase. I may buy a second one during the current sale! MMRosenthal

Use Doug Fir or Pine

Should not be using cedar. It repels the bees with its natural properties. Doug Fir or Pine are better options.
