Blue Cross Gentian - 3" pot

(Gentiana cruciata 'Blue Cross') This vigorous plant with its prodigious amount of bloom really draws the hummingbirds and butterflies! Cream buds open to flowers of the gorgeous blue Gentians are famous for, creating a wonderful bicolor effect. From midsummer into fall, they open all down the stems, not just on the tips, covering compact, dense plants. Long and cupped, the leaves grow four at each node, forming a cross and giving the plant its name. Extremely drought resistant and not particular as to soil as long as it is well-drained.

Zones 3-7, 10" high, 18" wide, sun/part shade.
