Grosso English Lavender - #1 Bareroot
(Lavandula x intermedia 'Grosso') Sometimes
called Fat Bud because it has the largest and
most richly colored flowers of the English
Lavenders! One of the most cold hardy, too. Its
flowers and stems are very aromatic, for they
contain large amounts of essential lavender
oil. Plus the calyxes don't fall off the stem
when dried, so it is excellent in sachets and
dried bouquets. Very easy, despite poor, rocky,
dry soil or drought, but it hates being wet in
winter, so good drainage is critical. Prune hard
in fall.
Zones 5-9, 2-3' tall and wide, sun.
For each offer ordered, you will receive 1 plant.
