J. W. Daisy's White Spruce - 4" pot

(Picea glauca 'J.W. Daisy's White') This little knockout has a beautiful, dense conical shape that slowly grows to about 3 feet in 10 years, and each spring, its new foliage emerges an astonishing creamy white that catches the eye of any passer-by. The coloring lasts for weeks and gradually becomes a pale green in summer, thus avoiding sunburn and ensuring it has enough chlorophyll to sustain itself. This evergreen is very easy to grow! Add some compost to the hole when you plant it, keep it moist the first season, and then you can pretty much forget it, except when its gorgeous spring foliage shouts "Look at me!" Grows 2" a year, so it makes a fabulous container subject.
