(Aruncus dioicus 'Kneiffii') This is a smaller cousin to the old-fashioned Goatsbeard that has long been a mainstay of cottage gardens. Blooming in early summer, the masses of creamy white blooms attract Butterflies and sometimes Hummingbirds. Its lacey plumes of flowers belie its tough constitution, for it is very easy to grow, even in shade.
