And you don't need to deadhead to yield this bounty of bloom, because it produces no seed. Butterflies love the nectar, it has a unique spreading habit that weaves among its neighbors quite beautifully, powdery mildew doesn't bother it, and it does not become yellow in summer's heat like most Coreopsis do, though a few blooms will assume a frosting of white. And, of course, it is hardy and very easy to grow in most any soil, and even drought resistant once established.
