Route 66 Coreopsis - #1 Bareoot
(Coreopsis verticillata 'Route 66' PP20609) One of the only new unusually colored Coreopsis that is actually hardy to zone 5! It is also one of the longest-lived of any Coreopsis, largest flowering, most drought tolerant, and one of the longest blooming, too—June to October! Forms a neat, uniform clump covered with lemon-and- claret blooms that become more suffused with red in fall. One of the easiest perennials to grow, too, smiling at heat, drought, poor soil and neglect. Butterflies love the nectar, and the seeds provide food for songbirds. A great plant!
Zones 5-9, 2' tall and wide, sun, Bareroot
