Comments: I received this feeder yesterday and hung it right away. However, in less than 24 hours the squirrels emptied all my bird food! Definitely not squirrel proof! It is good looking and hardy; perhaps I can find another way to hang it to discourage the squirrels. |

Comments: I have had this feeder hanging in a white pine for a year. I had the same problem with squirrels opening the feeder at first. If you wrap a piece of wire around the top knob and attach the wire to either side of the cage, the squirrels cannot open it. The feeder attracts a variety of small birds. |

Comments: I received this feeder already assembled, and the black paint on the top was chipped off and underneath where it had been, was all rusted.I was very upset. The only good thing was that they gave me a full refund, but I still had to pay the return shipping cost out of pocket. |

| Squireles love it -birds fear it |

Comments: Squirels dumpted the seeds immediately. Tied a 2 lb weight to the bottom and it helped a bit but only the sparrows seemed to not worry about being inside the cage. Holds a small amount of seed. |

| bird and squirrel crazy |

Comments: The only way to keep squirrels out of this is to mount it on a pole with a squirrel baffle and place it where they can't jump onto it from anything else. The plastic coating on the wire hanger will crack and the wire rusts off. The entire thing after about a year was chipped & rusting and we had to replace it. |
